My Story

When I first started teaching, I constantly felt like I was scrambling to create the next lesson to teach, because there were few good drum books for beginners, and even less that taught a comprehensive curriculum. That’s why I decided to create my own drum method series, The Barrowdown Drumset Method. It is uniquely mine, and it uniquely helps kids who hated reading discover that it can actually be easy!

All my lessons are tested on dozens of students of all ages before they are finalized, so the books, much like my students, can be the best they possibly can be. If you or your students have struggled to build a solid foundation in reading and playing, then look no further than this series.
